Powerful Pregnancy

This isn't about preparing for everything that could go wrong. It's about understanding everything your body already knows how to do.

Pregnancy has a strange way of turning your body into something everyone else suddenly has an opinion about. You're given appointments, measurements, milestones, lists of what to eat and what not to eat, what to watch for, what could go wrong, and eventually an entire education in how to get through labor.

And of course, information matters. Support matters. Modern medicine can be extraordinary. But somewhere in all of the preparation, we've lost something important: the understanding that pregnancy isn't a condition you're suffering from. Your body is doing something extraordinary.

You are creating a human being.

And birth isn't simply a medical event happening to you. It's an incredibly complex biological process that your brain, body, hormones, nervous system, and baby are participating in together. Your body is constantly receiving information and responding to it, and your baby is part of that conversation too.

Powerful Pregnancy is about understanding that process so you can participate in it differently. We work with the fear and beliefs you've absorbed about birth, change the way your brain interprets pain and intensity, build trust in your own instincts, and prepare your mind and body to work with labor rather than automatically bracing against it.

This isn't about creating the “perfect” birth or believing that if you prepare enough, you'll control the outcome. It's about changing the state you bring into the experience. When you understand what your body is doing, sensation doesn't have to automatically mean danger. When you feel supported and connected, you can respond rather than brace. And when circumstances change, you can make decisions from a place of inner knowing rather than feeling like birth is simply happening around you.

Because you aren't a passive participant in your birth.

You are the woman giving birth.

What might we work with?

Powerful Pregnancy is personalized around what you are bringing into pregnancy and birth. We can work with the specific fears, experiences, and subconscious expectations getting between you and the way you want to meet birth.

FEAR + BIRTH PREPARATION

Fear of labor, birth, pain, or losing control
Fear of tearing or other specific birth concerns
Needles, medical procedures, or hospital anxiety
Anxiety around induction or C-section
Anticipatory anxiety as birth gets closer
Preparing your mind and nervous system for the intensity of labor

TRUST + YOUR EXPERIENCE

A previous difficult or traumatic birth
Pregnancy after miscarriage, stillbirth, or loss
Fear that something will go wrong
Difficulty trusting your body
Birth stories or beliefs you've absorbed
Advocating for yourself and making decisions when plans change

We work with what's there so you can meet birth differently.

Birth is biology. And your experience is part of that biology.

Birth is an extraordinary hormonal event. Your brain and body are constantly communicating through hormones, sensory information, emotion, expectation, and the environment around you. Your baby is part of that process too.

This is where the biology of experience becomes incredibly important. What your brain perceives changes how your body responds. If intensity is interpreted as danger, your response will be different than if that same intensity is understood as purposeful sensation your body knows how to move through.

That's why this work goes beyond learning breathing techniques or memorizing the stages of labor. We work with how your brain and body are actually experiencing birth, the meaning attached to pain, your expectations around safety and control, and the subconscious patterns that can influence how you respond when intensity rises.

The goal is to help your brain and body understand what is happening so you can work with the physiology of birth rather than spending the experience fighting against it.

You don't have to control birth to participate powerfully in it.

Your body has been learning what birth means your entire life.

Long before you became pregnant, you were collecting information about birth. Maybe you heard your mother's birth story. Likely someone told you how excruciating labor was, and the only births you saw growing up were women screaming on television while everyone around them panicked.

Maybe you have your own experiences with pregnancy, loss, medical care, pain, or a previous birth that have taught your body what to expect.

Those experiences matter because emotion tells the brain what is important. Over time, stories and experiences can become expectations, and expectations influence the way we perceive what happens next.

Through hypnotherapy and subconscious work, we can begin uncovering those associations before you walk into labor and create new experiences around birth, intensity, safety, your body, and your own capacity.

You don't have to carry someone else's birth story into your own.

THE NURA METHOD

Powerful Pregnancy is a private 6-week container designed to prepare your brain, body, relationship, and inner world for birth and the transition into motherhood.

Inside Powerful Pregnancy

PREGNANCY IS THE BEGINNING OF MOTHERHOOD

We spend so much time preparing women to give birth and surprisingly little time preparing them for the person they'll be when they come out the other side.

Pregnancy isn't only preparation for a baby. It's an identity transition. Your priorities are changing. Your relationship with your body is changing. Your partnership is changing. Even the way you experience yourself can begin to shift long before your baby arrives.

Powerful Pregnancy creates space for that transition too. We'll explore the mother you're becoming, the beliefs and expectations you're carrying into motherhood, and how to stay connected to your own intuition when suddenly there are endless voices telling you the "right" way to parent.

Because birth isn't the finish line.

It's a threshold.

WHY THIS WORK IS PERSONAL TO ME

My relationship with birth, pregnancy, and body trust isn't theoretical. I became a mother to my son through a birth that taught me some of my earliest lessons about what trusting your body actually means.

I planned a home birth and labored at home for 30 hours. After hours of pushing, my birth ended in a C-section. It wasn't the birth I had envisioned, but it fundamentally changed the way I think about birth and power. I learned firsthand that trusting your body doesn't mean refusing intervention, and an empowered birth isn't one that follows a particular plan.

Then, in 2025, I lost my daughter, Vera, more than halfway through my pregnancy. That experience challenged my relationship with my body in an entirely different way. For a while, trusting it felt almost impossible. Hypnotherapy became one of the most powerful tools in helping me work with what loss had changed in me, not by erasing the grief or convincing me that nothing bad could happen again, but by helping me reconnect with my body without requiring certainty from it.

Those experiences completely changed what trusting your body means to me.

Trust isn't believing that everything will go according to plan. It's knowing that your power doesn't disappear when it doesn't.

It's being able to listen to your body and your intuition while also receiving support. It's understanding what's happening, asking questions, advocating for yourself, and adapting when circumstances change without believing that you've somehow failed.

I bring those experiences together with my background in biomedical engineering, years working with the brain through qEEG, and my training in hypnotherapy to help women prepare for birth differently, with a deep respect for the physiology of birth, the support available to us, and above all, the intelligence and authority of the woman experiencing it.

Your Partners in Birth

Your partner doesn't need to know everything. They need to know how to be with you.

Birth can be intense for the person beside you, too. And when your partner doesn't know what to do, it's easy for their fear to enter the room right alongside yours.

That's why Powerful Pregnancy includes a dedicated partner session. We'll talk about what actually helps you when intensity rises, how your partner can support your state instead of trying to fix what you're experiencing, how to communicate when you don't want to explain yourself, and how they can help protect the environment you've worked to create.

Your partner doesn't need to become your birth expert. They need to understand you, what helps you feel safe, connected, supported, and able to stay inside your own experience.

They'll also have access to grounding recordings they can use before and during labor, because the person supporting you deserves support too.

Your baby is part of the conversation, too.

One of my favorite parts of pregnancy is remembering that birth isn't happening to two separate people. You and your baby are moving through it together.

Throughout pregnancy and labor, there is an ongoing biological relationship between you. Powerful Pregnancy gives you space to intentionally deepen that connection before birth through hypnosis, visualization, and guided recordings designed around you and your baby.

Rather than approaching labor as something you have to endure to finally meet your baby on the other side, we begin reframing it as something you're moving through together.

You're not just preparing to give birth. You're preparing to meet each other.

Your Questions, Answered

There is no right way to give birth.

There are already enough voices telling women what an "empowered" birth is supposed to look like. I'm not interested in becoming another one.

You can give birth at home, in a birth center, or in a hospital. You can work with a midwife or an OB. You can want an unmedicated birth and change your mind. You can have an epidural. You can be induced. Your plans can change. You can need a C-section.

None of those choices determine whether you were powerful in your birth.

The point of this work isn't to prepare you to follow my idea of what birth should look like. It's to help you stay connected to yourself so that you can hear your intuition, understand your options, ask questions, receive support, and make decisions that feel aligned with you as circumstances unfold.

Power isn't controlling exactly how your birth happens.

It's knowing that you still belong to yourself inside of it.
