Private Sessions
Knowing what needs to change and knowing how to change it are two different things.
You can spend years trying to understand yourself, recognizing the patterns you fall into, the fears that hold you back, and the ways you wish things could be different. Yet even with all that awareness, you can find yourself responding in the same familiar ways. Anxiety shows up when you know you're safe. Frustration takes over when you want to feel calm. You know the confidence, freedom, or peace you're looking for, but knowing what you want and actually experiencing it are two very different things.
So much of how we experience life is shaped by patterns operating outside our conscious awareness. And while understanding those patterns is valuable, understanding alone doesn't always change them.
What becomes possible when we stop trying so hard to think our way into change and begin experiencing ourselves differently?
What might we work with?Whatever brought you here, there's room to explore it.
Some people come with one specific challenge. Others have spent years feeling that something isn't quite right but struggle to put their finger on what needs to change. Our work is personalized to your experiences, your goals, and the patterns you're ready to explore.

WHAT TO EXPECT
WHERE WE BEGINOur work begins with an extended first session, giving us the time to explore your experiences, understand the patterns you'd like to change, and begin your personalized hypnotherapy work.
From there, follow-up sessions are shaped by your goals, your progress, and what emerges along the way. Some people come for a specific challenge and find what they need in just a few sessions. Others choose to work together over a longer period as we explore deeper patterns or different areas of their lives.
My intention is always to help you create meaningful, lasting change, not to establish an indefinite schedule of appointments. We'll continually assess what's shifting, what still needs attention, and what feels most supportive as you move forward. There is no required commitment or predetermined number of sessions.
INITIAL SESSION$350 2 hours · Virtual or in person

Your mind has been learning how to experience the world your entire life.
Long before you began consciously examining your thoughts and behaviors, your brain was learning from experience. Every interaction, emotional response, and meaningful moment contributed to the associations you carry today. You learned what feels safe, what to anticipate, how to respond to uncertainty, and what to believe about yourself and the world around you.
Some of those patterns have served you beautifully. Others may have developed during circumstances that no longer reflect your life today. Yet you can find yourself responding as though nothing has changed, experiencing fear when you're safe, holding back when you want to move forward, or repeating behaviors you've consciously decided to leave behind.
These responses aren't always something we can reason our way out of. Our brains learn through experience, and intellectual understanding doesn't necessarily change the associations and automatic responses we've developed over time.
Through hypnotherapy and subconscious work, we can begin exploring those patterns and creating opportunities for new experiences, new associations, and different ways of responding.
What you've learned through experience, you have the capacity to experience differently.
THE NURA METHOD
-
We begin by exploring what's happening in your life today. The thoughts, emotional responses, behaviors, and familiar patterns that influence how you experience yourself and the world. Together, we'll identify what you'd like to change and begin recognizing the situations and associations that may be contributing to those patterns.
-
We explore the beliefs, learned associations, and past experiences that may be influencing your present responses. The intention isn't to analyze every moment of your past, but to develop a deeper understanding of the patterns that are relevant to the changes you want to make.
-
Through hypnosis, guided imagery, and personalized subconscious work, we create opportunities to experience familiar situations differently. By exploring new perspectives and mentally rehearsing new responses, we work toward developing associations and behaviors that better support your goals.
-
Change becomes meaningful when it extends beyond our sessions and into everyday life. We'll explore ways to integrate what you've learned, practice new responses, and bring your thoughts, feelings, and actions into greater alignment with how you want to live.
RELATIONSHIPS & CONNECTION
The way we connect is something we've learned, too.
Our closest relationships have a way of revealing parts of ourselves we don't always recognize. We bring our histories, expectations, emotional responses, and learned patterns into every relationship, often without realizing how deeply they influence the way we connect.
We can love someone deeply and still find ourselves having the same arguments, withdrawing when we want to feel closer, or reacting in ways we later wish we hadn't.
Exploring these patterns gives us an opportunity to understand ourselves more deeply and begin relating to the people we love in new ways.

Growing Minds. Extraordinary Potential.
Children have an incredible capacity for imagination. The stories they create, the worlds they explore, and the ways they make sense of their experiences offer opportunities for learning and growth.
Through age-appropriate storytelling, guided imagery, and hypnosis, children may be able to explore fears, practice new responses, and build confidence in ways that feel natural to them.
FEARS + WORRIES
Fear of the dark, monsters, sleeping alone, medical appointments, or other everyday childhood fears.

Performance nerves, athletic confidence, focus, and mentally rehearsing new skills.
SLEEP & BEDTIME
Bedtime worries, difficulty settling down, and developing positive bedtime associations.
HABITS & BEHAVIOR

BEDWETTING
Complementary support for eligible children after appropriate medical assessment.
EMOTIONAL CONFIDENCE
Exploring frustration, navigating new situations, and practicing ways to respond to big feelings.
There's more than one way to experience your life.
Our brains are constantly learning from experience. Over time, the associations we form and the responses we practice can become so familiar that they begin to feel automatic. But familiar doesn't necessarily mean permanent. Hypnosis offers an opportunity to explore these patterns through focused attention, imagination, and new experiences. Rather than relying on intellectual understanding alone, we work with the ways you experience and respond to the world, creating opportunities to practice something different.
Your Questions, Answered
-
Everyone experiences hypnosis differently. Many people describe a sense of focused attention or deep absorption, similar to becoming immersed in a book or daydream. You remain an active participant throughout the session.
-
No. Hypnosis is a collaborative process. You remain aware and able to communicate, decline suggestions, and end the experience whenever you choose.
-
There isn't a universal timeline for change. Some people experience significant shifts in just one or two sessions, while others benefit from a longer process, particularly when working with deeply established patterns or multiple interconnected challenges.
Hypnotherapy is a process of creating change, reinforcing new patterns, and integrating those changes into everyday life. Depending on what we're working through, sessions may be closer together initially and become more spaced out as you progress.
My goal isn't for you to need me every week indefinitely. It's for you to experience real shifts that extend beyond our time together, with the freedom to return whenever there's something new you'd like to explore.
-
Not necessarily. Understanding relevant experiences can be helpful, but we don't need to revisit every experience or uncover hidden memories. Our work focuses on the patterns influencing your life today and the changes you want to make.
-
Traditional psychotherapy often focuses on understanding and addressing thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and mental health concerns through conversation and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
NURA takes a different approach, using hypnosis, guided imagery, and subconscious-pattern work to explore learned associations and practice new ways of responding. Rather than relying on conscious understanding alone, we use focused attention and imagination to support the changes you'd like to make.
NURA sessions are not psychotherapy or a substitute for mental health treatment. When appropriate, hypnotherapy can complement care from a licensed mental health professional.

Yes. Deep Dives can be done virtually or in person in Columbus, Ohio. Hypnosis doesn't require us to be physically in the same room for the work to be effective.
-
Yes. Children's sessions use age-appropriate approaches, including storytelling, guided imagery, and imagination. Depending on your child's needs, we may explore everyday fears, confidence, sports performance, certain habits, or bedtime worries. Some concerns, such as bedwetting, require appropriate medical assessment before considering hypnotherapy.
I recommend beginning with a parent consultation to discuss your child's needs and determine whether this approach is appropriate.

Yes. Our individual relationships are often influenced by learned emotional responses, subconscious beliefs, and familiar patterns. Relationship-focused hypnotherapy offers an opportunity to explore how these patterns influence the way you communicate, connect, and respond to the people closest to you.
