What is attunement?
Understanding the complexity of the physics of emotions
It is no secret that the things that happen in our lives effect how we feel, but science is beginning to understand a deeper physics of emotions. In the book Molecules of Emotions by Dr. Candace Pert, she explains that emotions are not just chemicals in the brain. They are electrochemical signals that carry emotional messages throughout the body, and these signals have far reaching effects.

In Molecules of Emotion Dr. Pert explains that neurotransmitters, aka peptides, carry emotional messages. This is the chemical function of emotions, and these messages in turn change the chemistry of our body’s cells. This is all well known by mainstream science, but the deeper question is, how does one’s emotions impact another? To understand this aspect, we must also look at the physics and vibrations of emotions. Neurotransmitters are not only chemicals, but they also carry an electrical charge. Electrical signals are how our brains and bodies communicate to cells and impact their function.
Vibrations are universal communication
Vibrations are happening all around us. Even our voice is a vibration, and the most obvious way of communication. When we speak words we are sending a vibration of sound to another for them to sense with their ears and process what was said. However, speaking is not the only vibration we emit. Much like the synapse and vibrations between cells on the micro-level, on the macro-level our bodies are also giving off vibrations. These vibrations can be sensed by another, and many aspects of the Human Energy Field (HEF) has been measured in a laboratory.
We have all experienced someone walking into a room, and felt a shift in how the space feels. We have also felt someone staring at us, and when we turn around we were right. This sense is natural to us all, but we often ignore these feelings and instincts, because we struggle to make logical sense of it. However, science is giving us language and data to understand how these ‘phenomena’ happen. For those that need the data, the paradigm shift is happening and new studies to demonstrate these effects are being published regularly. This is why we are seeing a wider focus on mind-body exercises and meditation. Although these practices have been around for centuries, they were seen as woo woo, until recent years. I myself have helped facilitate a qEEG studies that measured the effects of meditation on the brain, and the qEEF showed that meditation changes our brainwaves.
It has become so common place to hear things like, “I didn’t like his vibe,” or “we were not vibing,” it is so common that we often overlook what these phrases really mean. This quite literally means the vibrations that someone else is giving off do not resonate with your own. Understanding vibrations and these subtle energies are key to understanding the deeper levels of communication between all things.

Think of yourself as a radio, and you are trying to find the station of music that feels best to you in the moment. This is essentially what Attunement is. We are dialing in your frequency to align to the station that feels best for you.
How does is Attunement work?
Autonomic and physiological responses can be controlled by us with practice. An easy example that we can all do, is breathing. We do not have to focus on how we breath it just happens naturally. However, when we focus on the breath we can control that process. This is the same for many of our physiological processes. This is how we begin to attune our bodily frequency, we are taking control or our emotions. Together we go into deep states of relaxation to train your body to attune to lighter frequencies associated with positive and open emotions.

Attunement can be thought of as a stress reduction exercise. We are taking the time to really inform our bodies that we are safe and whole. We show our bodies what it feels like to reach deep relaxation and a clear mind, so we can call on this state more readily in daily life.
