Fertility in Flow
Trying to conceive doesn’t have to take over your entire life.
At first, you're hopeful. You download the app, start taking the supplements, pay closer attention to your cycle. Maybe you start acupuncture, change what you're eating, read everything you can find. You're smart, proactive, and used to being able to figure things out when something matters to you.
And then another month passes. And another.
Before you know it, you're bracing yourself every time you take a test. Sex has become something that happens on the right day at the right time, almost a chore. You're tracking symptoms you never used to notice and questioning things you never thought you'd question. Somewhere along the way, the relationship you had with your body changed. Maybe you don't trust it the way you used to. Maybe you're angry at it. Maybe you're starting IVF, or wondering if that's where you're headed, and trying to figure out how the holistic work you believe in fits alongside a process that can feel incredibly clinical.
You've done everything you know how to do, but fertility isn't something you can force.
This isn't another version of “just relax and it will happen.” It's about changing how you're experiencing the process altogether. When trying to conceive becomes months of tracking, bracing, disappointment, pressure, and sex that feels more like a task than connection, those experiences don't just disappear when the moment is over. Emotion tells the brain what matters, and repeated experiences become patterns your system learns to anticipate.
Fertility in Flow is about changing that pattern. Creating an experience of conception that feels more nourishing, connected, pleasurable, and safe, where you can actually enjoy your life, reconnect with your body and your partner, and make space for what you desire.
Because your internal experience is part of your biology. When the experience changes, the signals your body is responding to change with it.
That's what I mean by creating more fertile ground. Intentionally creating an internal environment that supports conception rather than spending every month in a cycle of pressure, bracing, and distrust.
What might we work with?Fertility in Flow is personalized around what's actually coming up for you. You don't need to fit into a particular fertility story or arrive knowing exactly what you need to work on.

You bring what's coming up. We work with what's underneath it.
There is another way to think about fertility.
One of the ideas at the center of my work is that the female body creates through nourishment. You don't consciously grow a baby cell by cell. You don't tell an embryo when to divide or instruct a placenta how to form. You create the conditions, provide the nourishment, and an extraordinary biological intelligence takes over.
That doesn't mean fertility is as simple as thinking positively, relaxing enough, or trusting your body into pregnancy. There are very real biological factors that influence conception, many of which are outside of our conscious control. But I also don't believe our internal environment is irrelevant.
Your brain, nervous system, endocrine system, immune system, emotions, beliefs, relationships, and reproductive physiology aren't operating independently from one another. They are constantly communicating. This is the biology of experience: what we repeatedly experience, especially when paired with strong emotion, becomes part of the patterns our brain and body learn.
Fertility in Flow is about working with that internal environment while rebuilding your relationship with your body. Moving from control toward connection, bracing toward openness, self-blame toward self-nourishment, and distrust toward body trust.
You don't need another person telling you what your body should be doing. You need space to connect with yourself.
THE NURA METHOD FOR FERTILITY-
We start by noticing the patterns already running beneath the surface: the bracing before you take the test, the meaning you've attached to another negative month, the way sex has changed, and the stories you've started telling yourself about your body, your timeline, and what happens if this doesn't work.
-
Then we look underneath those patterns. Our reactions don't appear from nowhere. Experience creates belief, emotion tells the brain what matters, and repetition teaches us what to expect next. Sometimes what gets activated during fertility began long before conception was ever on the table.
-
Understanding a pattern intellectually isn't always enough to change it. Through hypnotherapy and subconscious work, we begin creating new experiences around uncertainty, your body, intimacy, possibility, and yourself. This isn't forced positivity. It's giving your brain and body new information so the old pattern no longer has to be the only one available.
-
Ultimately, we're creating more coherence between what you believe, what you feel, what your body experiences, and how you're actually living. The goal isn't to become perfect at navigating fertility. It's to feel deeply connected to yourself while you're moving through it, even when you don't know what happens next.
Fertility in Flow is a private 6-week container designed for women who want support moving through conception feeling more steady, connected, and emotionally supported instead of quietly carrying the weight of it alone.
Inside Fertility in Flow
-
We will meet 1:1 to gently work with what conception is bringing to the surface, fear, grief, pressure, hypervigilance, relationship strain, identity shifts, body mistrust, emotional overwhelm, or simply the exhaustion of carrying hope and uncertainty at the same time.
This is not surface-level mindset work or simply talking about stress.
Together, we work with the subconscious patterns, nervous system responses, emotional experiences, and beliefs shaping how you move through this season so that conception feels less consuming and you feel more connected to yourself again.
In person in Columbus or Virtual -
Guided hypnosis recordings designed to support body trust, openness, intimacy, self-nourishment, and your relationship with uncertainty between sessions.
-
When appropriate, you'll receive recordings created around the specific patterns and beliefs we're working with together.
Some women listen before appointments, while lying in bed, after difficult conversations, during the two-week wait, or in moments when fear begins to feel louder than trust.
These recordings become supportive anchors, helping the body soften, the mind settle, and the deeper work continue between sessions.
-
Conception does not happen neatly once a week.
You will have access to support between sessions for questions, reflections, moments that feel particularly heavy, or simply reassurance when this season feels harder to carry.
Because this work is relational.
You are not meant to navigate this alone.
-
Alongside our work together, you will receive supportive resources to better understand the relationship between stress, emotional experience, nervous system patterns, subconscious beliefs, and the mind-body connection during conception.
Not to give you more to obsess over.
But to help you understand yourself more deeply.
THERE IS NO ONE RIGHT WAY TO DO THISThere are already enough voices telling you what you should be doing with your body. I'm not here to become another one.
Fertility in Flow is designed to support you in whatever path you choose. Maybe that's trying naturally. Maybe it's acupuncture, IVF, or working with a fertility specialist. Maybe your path changes along the way. The goal isn't to convince you that one approach is more “right” than another — it's to help you stay connected to yourself while you make those choices.
You can use modern medicine and trust your body. You can look at the data and listen to your intuition. You can accept support without handing over your own inner knowing.
This work isn't about telling you what to do with your body. It's about helping you hear yourself clearly enough to decide.
WHY I CREATED THIS SPACEI came to this work through neuroscience and biomedical engineering. Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I spent years working with the brain through qEEG and studying the relationship between biology, behavior, and experience. I understood neuroplasticity. I understood that experience could change the brain. But my relationship to that science changed when it became personal.
In 2025, I lost my daughter, Vera, more than halfway through my pregnancy. Loss changed the relationship I had with my body in a way I wasn't prepared for. It's incredibly difficult to trust something when a part of you feels like it has failed you, and I found myself trying to reconcile everything I understood intellectually about the body with what I actually felt inside of mine.
Hypnotherapy became one of the most powerful tools in helping me move through that experience. Not because it made the grief disappear or convinced me everything was okay, but because it gave me a way to work with what the experience had changed in me, the fear, the beliefs, the expectations, and the way my body had learned to anticipate what might happen next.
Over time, I learned how to trust my body again. And that experience changed the way I understood everything I had spent years studying.
Experience becomes biology, but new experience can become biology, too.
That's the work underneath NURA. I bring together neuroscience, hypnotherapy, and a deep respect for the intelligence women already carry within themselves to help you change the patterns shaping your experience and reconnect with your own body, intuition, and knowing.
What this work can feel like
“For the first time in a very long time, I felt like myself again.
Before working with Alexis, trying to conceive had quietly taken over so much more of my life than I realized. After miscarriage and months of feeling disappointed by my body, I felt exhausted and disconnected from myself. Everything felt heavy. I was overthinking constantly, carrying pressure I could not seem to put down, and somewhere along the way I had stopped feeling trust in myself.
Working with Alexis felt like finally being able to exhale. I felt deeply understood, supported, and gently guided back toward parts of myself I had lost touch with. Instead of feeling like I had to push harder or hold everything tighter, I began relating to myself differently. I felt softer, steadier, and more connected to my body and partner in a way I had not felt in a long time.
Shortly after our work together, I ovulated and became pregnant. But more than anything, this experience changed the way I moved through conception. I no longer felt consumed by it. I felt supported. I felt hopeful again. And for the first time in a very long time, I felt like myself.”

Fertility is deeply physical, but it is also emotional, neurological, and relational. Trying to conceive often brings cycles of hope, uncertainty, disappointment, pressure, grief, and hypervigilance, all while people are told to “just relax,” which can feel frustrating and impossible when so much matters.
The irony is that forcing yourself to relax often creates even more pressure.
Conception asks us to trust, soften, and stay connected to ourselves in a season that can feel profoundly uncertain.
This work is not about pretending stress is the cause of infertility or “thinking positive” your way to pregnancy. It is about supporting the mind-body relationship, emotional processing, nervous system flexibility, and subconscious patterns that may influence how you move through this season.
Hypnosis and mind-body interventions have been studied in fertility and IVF settings, with research suggesting meaningful improvements in implantation and pregnancy outcomes. One commonly cited study found a 20% higher implantation rate among women receiving hypnosis during embryo transfer, though research is still evolving and outcomes are influenced by many factors.
Beyond the research, many women describe feeling more emotionally regulated, connected to their bodies, less consumed by fear or pressure, and better able to navigate conception with greater steadiness and self-trust.

Absolutely. Whether you have already started treatment or just started your journey, Fertility in Flow is designed for to support you. This has been a first stop for clients who want to try more holistic approaches to fertility first, and this work absolutely supports treatment. For those that go onto treatment, hypnotherapy has been shown to improve implantation rates by up 20%. Overall Fertility in Flow brings you home to yourself creating a much more easeful fertility journey.
-
No. This work is not based on blame or the idea that you simply need to “relax.” It is grounded in the understanding that conception is physical, emotional, and relational, and that emotional wellbeing matters during deeply vulnerable seasons.
-
Many women come to this work after therapy, coaching, or years of self-development. While insight can be powerful, Fertility in Flow works more directly with subconscious patterns, nervous system responses, emotional experiences, and the mind-body relationship, often helping women feel shifts more quickly and deeply than insight alone.
-
Hypnosis is not mind control or losing awareness. It is a deeply relaxed, focused state that helps us work more closely with emotional patterns, beliefs, and nervous system responses that often live beneath conscious awareness.
-
No one can promise pregnancy. However, hypnotherapy can support many of the emotional, subconscious, and nervous system patterns that often arise during conception, fertility treatment, and pregnancy after loss.
While results vary from person to person, the mind and body are deeply connected, and the emotional experience of conception matters.
In my own practice, I have worked with women who conceived naturally after our sessions. While I cannot promise a specific outcome, I have seen firsthand how powerful it can be when women begin releasing fear, processing unresolved emotions, rebuilding trust in their bodies, and moving through conception from a more regulated and supported place.
At its core, this work is about creating the conditions for your body to function as it was designed to. Less pressure. Less internal conflict. More trust, safety, and connection.
-
Working together often feels like finally exhaling. Sessions are warm, deeply supportive, and grounded in both neuroscience and emotional intelligence. Rather than endlessly analyzing what you already know, we gently work with the emotional patterns, nervous system responses, and subconscious beliefs shaping how conception feels in your body and life.
Many women tell me they leave feeling more steady, more understood, and more like themselves again.
You were never meant to carry this alone.
Conception can feel deeply isolating, especially when so much of it happens quietly. The waiting. The hope. The disappointment. The pressure to stay positive while carrying questions that feel difficult to explain to anyone who has not lived it.
Fertility in Flow was created for women who want support moving through conception feeling steadier, more trusting of themselves, and more connected to the version of themselves that still feels hopeful, grounded, and alive beneath the weight of it all.
If something here feels familiar, I invite you to schedule a call. We can talk through where you are, what support could look like, and whether this feels aligned for you.
